Sergeant Anthony Soddu is the Senior Recruiting Officer for the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office. Born in Richmond, VA, Soddu attended high school in Raleigh, NC, and attended N.C. State University before staking a business claim in the dry-cleaning industry. Moving on into sales and some time in the business licensing department for Spartanburg City Government, Soddu felt called to do something different and take up a new challenge. Law enforcement became his passion.
Beginning in the Uniform Patrol division, Soddu excelled and became a Field Training Officer, responsible for developing trainees on the road. Being uniquely skilled in communication, Soddu is also a team leader for the Crisis Negotiation Unit at the Sheriff’s Office. In 2022, Soddu became the Public Safety Recruiting Coordinator for the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, responsible at a new level for the development of future law enforcement officers in this county.
