Chief William "Billy" Parris Retires

Today marks a bittersweet moment for the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office. After an incredible 45 years of dedicated service, Chief William “Billy” Parris is officially retiring.
Chief Parris began his career in 1980, answering a lifelong calling to serve and protect the people of Spartanburg County. While we will deeply miss his leadership and presence in the halls of the Sheriff’s Office, we’re excited to celebrate the next chapter of his life.
Please join us in congratulating Chief Billy Parris on an outstanding career and in wishing him a happy, healthy, and fulfilling retirement.
