The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team is a highly trained and equipped unit prepared to respond to critical incidents that exceed the scope of routine law enforcement. This elite team handles high-risk situations such as hostage crises, barricaded subjects, active shooter scenarios, and high-risk warrant service. Members undergo rigorous and continuous training in specialized tactics, weaponry, and crisis resolution techniques. Their primary objective is to resolve dangerous situations with the highest degree of professionalism and safety for all involved, protecting both citizens and fellow officers in the most challenging circumstances.
