It’s Tax time!
If someone files a fraudulent tax return using your information, you should contact the IRS. The Internal Revenue Service investigates these incidents, not your local police department. Here is how to file a report with the IRS.
Go to www.irs.gov and print form 14039. Follow the directions on the form. Attach a copy of the fraudulent return and other documents and mail to the IRS.
