04-02-2021 - Arrests made in Criminal Sexual Misconduct / Unlawful Neglect of a child case

During the narcotics round-up on March 30, 2021, an SVU investigator was contacted by the gang unit sergeant in reference to locating a runaway, a fifteen year old female juvenile, who had been missing since November, 2020. She was located in a bed with a nude adult male, Jacob Matthew Sellar-Deck, also known as Honcho, W/M,  Bryant Rd., Spartanburg, SC, 29303.  The suspect was uncooperative; however, a witness and ex-boyfriend of the juvenile’s sister were on scene and spoke with the investigator. They provided information stating the juvenile and Honcho had been dating for several months staying at 691 Arcadia Station and 350 Bryant Rd. together. The investigator then met with the victim at the hospital, where she gave a detailed disclosure of multiple sexual incidents with Honcho. She estimated a total of over 150 times they had sexual intercourse between two separate addresses, both located in Spartanburg County. The investigator presented the details of this case to a magistrate judge who issued the following 25 warrants against Jacob Sellar-Deck:  10 counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with A Minor - Second Degree for the incidents occurring at 691 Arcadia Station Rd, 10 counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with A Minor - Second Degree for 350 Bryant Rd., Contributing to Delinquency of a Minor, Exposure of Private Parts in Lewd Manner, Criminal Solicitation of a Minor, and Obscenity Statute Violation. The following warrants were also issued against Courtney Todd McAtee, W/F,  Arcadia Station Rd., Spartanburg, SC, 29302, who is the juvenile victim’s mother:  2 counts of Unlawful Neglect of a Child, Contributing to Delinquency of a Minor, and Obscenity Statute Violation. Both of the suspects were arrested on their respective warrants and remain incarcerated at the detention facility, and the victim is now in the custody of the Department of Social Services.
