Late this afternoon, violent crimes investigators received test results on some evidence items that linked a suspect to the crime scene from March 25, 2016, where Dawn Michelle Harper Allen was found deceased on the side of Davis Rd. in Woodruff. An investigator presented those findings to a magistrate judge, who found probable cause to issue an arrest warrant on the responsible suspect. He is Rodney Juan Baker, B/M, DOB: 030460, 535 Chestnut St., Reidville, SC, 29335. Once the warrant was signed, violent crimes investigators and warrant officers went to Baker’s residence approx. 2 hours ago, arrested him without incident, and transported him to the detention facility.
