On May 5, 2017, at approx. 6:20 PM, the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting call on Larkin Park Dr. at Nazareth Rd. Upon our arrival, there was a deceased male lying on the ground. The deceased male was identified as Antonio Gregory Panuamba, W/M, DOB: 072299, 4 Pembrook Circle, Wellford, SC, 29385. Violent Crimes Investigators were able to locate various witnesses, suspects, and firearms. The firearms located, along with the projectile from the decedent, was sent to SLED for testing and comparison. Analysts were able to determine that the projectile from the decedent was fired from one of the located firearms. That firearm was confirmed to belong to Travis Emil Jones Jr., B/M, DOB: 100497, 186 Israel Dr., Wellford, SC, 29385. Subsequently, Mr. Jones has been charged with the following offenses: Murder and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime. Through further investigation, Violent Crimes Investigators also made an arrest of Marco E. Hidalgo-Orduna, H/M, DOB: 061398, 345 Foxhall Rd., Spartanburg, SC, 29306, for his role in the incident. He was charged with Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime. These arrests have satisfied the questions of who is responsible for the death of Antonio Gregory Panuamba.
