The festival has at its core the honoring of the crewmembers of the two versions of the Mighty Moo (the USS Cowpens), that focus has been expanded to honor the service of all veterans of all services in all conflicts.

A highlight of the festival is the Veterans Walk of Honor and Remembrance took place at 11:45, Saturday, June 20 at the Veterans Park. Every veteran in attendance took part in this event.
The Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard conducted a wreath-laying ceremony at the conclusion of the Walk of Honor.
