A full time nursing and support staff attends to those inmates needing medical care. Additionally, the Spartanburg County Detention Facility contracts a physician Medical Director and employs a full time Nurse Practitioner.

 

 

MEDICATIONS

The SPARTANBURG COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY

does not accept bottles containing medication.

We will accept

EMPTY PRESCRIPTION BOTTLES ONLY.  The empty bottles will be used to verify the medications and will be thrown away after use.  New prescriptions will be ordered by the jail practitioners as deemed appropriate.

ALL MEDICATIONS AND BOTTLES LEFT AT THIS FACILITY WILL BE DISCARDED. 

If you have medications for someone undergoing treatment for cancer, HIV, Hep C, or someone prescribed bronchial inhalers, please contact the Medical Department at 864-596-2626.
